For over a year now, I have been receiving messages from my Yahoo contacts (or so it says) which only has a link to some kind of pharmaceutical sales site or something more sinister, such as s site which offers Viagra or male organ enlargement devices.
When these suspicious emails started arriving, I thought my friends were legitimately selling these items. Whenever I would reply no thank you, the emails continued to come in. Since then, I have received several of these same emails, which are now coming from the emails of more of my friends. Now, I'm not sure if they are really coming from friends or if their contact information is being stolen and used to look as if they are sending me (and possibly others) these weird emails.
If anyone else is getting these same emails, please post your comments below. I plan to approach yahoo with proof that other people are having these issues, which could finally prove that Yahoo Mail accounts are not as secure as we all believe it is.
